Kelsey Freshour obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing right down the road from Health Care for Children at William Jewell College. After graduating, she worked for five years at Children’s Mercy Hospital as an inpatient nurse working primarily with the pediatric hematology and oncology population. Kelsey continued her education and obtained her Master of Science in Nursing through Maryville University Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program and is certified through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board.
Kelsey is passionate about educating families about their child’s developmental milestones placing importance that every child is their own unique individual and this should be at the forefront of providing care. She has a special interest in working with children with special needs. In her free time, she enjoys going on adventures with her husband and two daughters. Kelsey is ecstatic to work at Health Care for Children and be able to give back to the Northland where she grew up.
