Understanding Your Coverage — We’ll Help Every Step of the Way
At Health Care for Children, we know that understanding insurance can be confusing. Our goal is to make it as simple and stress-free as possible. We participate with most major insurance plans and work closely with Children’s Mercy to ensure your family receives the coverage and benefits you deserve.
Our billing team is always happy to verify benefits and answer questions before your visit — because Compassion for Kids means caring for parents, too.

Important Insurance Note
During a well-child visit, your provider focuses on growth, development, and preventive care. If your child is also sick or has a new concern on the same day, insurance companies often treat that as a separate “sick visit,” even if it happens during the same appointment.
To avoid unexpected charges, please schedule well-child and sick visits on different days whenever possible. If your child becomes ill before a scheduled well visit, call our office — we’ll adjust or reschedule so you’re covered correctly.
