Dr. Hertenstein received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Saint Louis University. He then completed a three-year residency as a pediatrician at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. Dr. Hertenstein is Board Certified in Pediatrics and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Hertenstein founded Health Care for Children in 1981.
Dr. Lively is a pediatrician who graduated from The University of California at Santa Barbara, Denver Theological Seminary and The University of Health Sciences. In 1998 he completed his three years of specialty training in pediatrics at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. Board Certified in Pediatrics. As a pediatrician, Dr. Lively has a special interest in asthma, allergy, adolescent medicine, dermatology and infectious diseases. He continues as an Adjunct Professor of Clinical Pediatrics with the University of Health Sciences. Paul, his wife, Melanie and their children reside in Liberty, Missouri.
Dr. Rinker graduated from Liberty High School. Later she went on to the University of Missouri in Columbia, where she earned her Doctor of Medicine degree. She then trained in pediatrics for three years at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City before returning to be a pediatrician in her home community. As a Board Certified Pediatrician, she has a special interest in patient and parent education, infectious diseases, and developmental issues. Dr. Rinker and her family are thrilled to be part of the wonderful Liberty community.
Dr. Lively is a graduate of the six-year medical program at the University of Missouri in Kansas City. She earned a combined Bachelor of Science in Biology and Medical Degree. She trained for three years in pediatrics at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. Dr. Lively’s dedication earned her one of the two Pediatric Chief Resident placements at Children’s Mercy. While working at Children’s Mercy, she met and married her husband, Paul, who is also a member of the Health Care for Children pediatrician team in Liberty. Dr. Lively works part-time as a pediatrician at Health Care for Children and is proud to be raising her children in the Liberty community.
